Mayfair Auctions is a privately-owned saleroom built from the ground up to provide a high quality experience for both buyers and sellers. We bring experts in jewellery, watches and other luxury goods together with a team focussed on achieving possible results for our clients to deliver the best experience all-round.

Our team is made up of auction professionals as well as jewellery specialists who have spent many years in the trade and have an excellent understanding of antique and vintage jewellery, its value and desirability.
Our Managing Director, Peter Chapman, has worked in the industry for a number of years, having previously retired as a Partner of an elite international law firm. From experience, Peter understands how to operate an international business but also the importance of providing an exacting client service and consistently delivering on promises.

We are located in Mayfair, London - the centre of the luxury jewellery market in the UK, with literally hundreds of jewellery businesses located within a stone's throw. This means we are well-connected to a vast range of buyers and sellers of jewellery.
Setting the standards
At Mayfair Auctions we are not content with the status quo and aspire to set better standards for auction businesses. In particular, we believe that:
- Sellers should be paid for their items in a timely fashion (no longer than 4 weeks after a sale and earlier if possible);
- Sellers should not be without their goods for any longer than is necessary to catalogue the items and any unsold goods should be returned promptly following a sale.
- Buyers should be able to purchase items knowing that their authenticity has been verified and guaranteed;
- Buyers and sellers should expect a polite, responsive and professional service at all times but, in addition, they should be feel comfortable to ask questions and should receive fulsome and timely responses.
